The original Orkney Stomp band, the Chair are a powerhouse of great tunes and the occasional song. The band always have a good time and their enjoyment becomes infectious as the audience inevitably get to their feet and dance.
From their own web site tehy describe themselves thus: Welcome. We're The Chair. Yes, yes, we know: Why did we give ourselves a boring name like that? Maybe we'll let you in on the secret one day but, suffice to say, we're not proud of it but enough people have lied and told us they like the name so we've stuck with it. And let's face it, it's a lot less scatological than The Stool.
